Howden Broking Group, the broking arm of Hyperion Insurance Group, today announced the launch of its new Energy Division, which will be headed by sector specialist Alan Brooks.

Tim Coles, CEO of Howden Broking Group, said: “I have previously stated that it is a core strategic intention to expand our wholesale and reinsurance platform, beginning with Energy, before developing our capabilities in Marine and Aviation.  I am personally delighted to welcome this very well-known team of high-calibre individuals as the next step towards establishing Howden as one of the leading brokers in the Energy sector.” 

Commenting on the launch, Brooks said: “The dynamic nature of Howden’s global platform of local retail operations and international wholesale and reinsurance divisions presents an exciting opportunity for Energy business.  We will work closely with our new colleagues across this platform to deliver retail, wholesale and reinsurance solutions internationally, and wholesale and reinsurance solutions in the North American market.”
